Warm water, cool mountain air
When the first cold evenings reach Ajaltoun, Scappa keeps its water warm. The indoor pool is heated, the Superior Hanging Villa's private pool is heated, and the villas and Flying rooms have Jacuzzis and fireplaces. Autumn and winter are as good a time to come up the mountain as July, and much quieter.
Warm water, whatever the weather
From autumn, the heated indoor pool opens for the cold months. It sits behind natural rock walls with soft, low lighting. It's a place to swim slow lengths on a grey morning, or to float for an hour while the rain falls outside. If you'd rather keep the water to yourself, book a villa:

The Flying Room and Flying Suite
Our Flying Room and Flying Suite stand on the Flying Deck, glass rooms built out over the cliff. Each has an indoor Jacuzzi right beside a floor-to-ceiling glass wall that faces the valley, and a fireplace for cold evenings. In winter, watch the clouds move through the valley from a warm bath, then light the fire and stay in.
The Flying Room is a spacious 45 m² for two. The Flying Suite has two bedrooms and two bathrooms (60 m²), for families or friends.
The spa after a cold day out
Scappa's spa is open every day from 9 AM to 8 PM. On a cold day, try the Hot Stones massage, where heated stones ease tired muscles, or a Deep Tissue massage after a day on the slopes or the trails. You can book a massage for two and go straight from the treatment room to the indoor pool.
A day in the snow, a night by the fire
Ajaltoun is in Keserwan, on the road up to Lebanon's ski resorts. Faraya-Mzaar is about 35 minutes away. Spend the day skiing or sledging there, see the Faqra Roman ruins on the way, and be back at Scappa before dark for a hot shower, dinner and an early night. Or ski one day and spend the next at the resort.
When it rains
- The game room has billiards, ping pong, babyfoot, darts and backgammon.
- The gym has large windows facing the mountains.
- The restaurant is open from 8 AM to 11:30 PM, with views over the Keserwan valley, and breakfast is included with every stay.

For couples who want privacy, the Superior Hanging Villa with its heated pool. For a fireplace and a Jacuzzi, the Superior Eagle Nest Villa. For a Jacuzzi and a fireplace behind a wall of glass, the Flying Room, or the Flying Suite with two bedrooms. For a warm, simple night with a Jacuzzi, the Hanging Villa. Families can book any of our rooms and suites and use the heated indoor pool together.

Faraya-Mzaar is about 35 minutes by car from the resort, depending on the road and the snow.
